IRF’s Executive Seminars are specifically targeted at road professionals from developing countries or countries in economic transition seeking to adopt a business approach to their road activities. These seminars help participants to take better advantage of opportunities offered by the management techniques and expertise of the road sector. Conducted with the support of experts from the IRF membership, the seminars are supported by the World Bank.

Who should attend?
The four professional development courses are specifically designed for senior road executives, members of roads boards, government officials dealing with the road sector, staff from international donor organisations, and consultants working on the road sector. The courses provide an opportunity to interact with senior road managers from other countries, staff from donor organisations, members of consulting firms and staff involved in restructuring road management and finance. Examples presented in the past have included emerging good practice from France, Ghana, Latvia, Namibia, New Zealand, Romania, South Africa, Sweden, UK, USA and Zambia. Participants can choose to attend 1, 2, 3 or all 4 courses.
