IRFRC : About IRFRC

The IRF Research Council is a horizontal catalyst of expertise and skills committed to improving the sustainability and efficiency of the road sector. The scope of the Research Council is limited to the European Union.

With the support of a Steering Committee, the IRF Research Council will take on the global coordination role at European Union in the areas of:

  • Road safety
  • Smart mobility
  • Sustainable roads
  • Competitiveness

It offers road sector stakeholders and international research bodies a forum to discuss strategic research priorities, promote knowledge transfer and encourage participation in international road research programmes.
