gTKP workshop on Governance

The primary objective of this workshop is to raise awareness within
the key stakeholder groups, of how governance issues affect the
efficiency and effectiveness of delivery of road services. This will be
achieved by inviting delegates to comment on a number of proposals for
assessing governance capacity in the sector.
Specific objectives are:
- To raise awareness and understanding of how poor governance impacts on the delivery of road services to users.
- To introduce key stakeholders to proposals on how to assess the capacity of governance in the transport sector (especially pertaining to roads).
- To obtain feedback on these proposals and how they might be developed further.
- To obtain some consensus on the approach to be taken towards assessing governance capacity in the transport sector.
