5th Regional Conference on Road Safety

IRF (India) is organizing the 5th Regional Conference after four very successful conferences since 2006. The last one was a highly successful Conference with long lasting impact on the road safety related activities in India. A large number of the present initiatives of the Government of India have been drawn arising from the recommendations of the Conference that was held during 23rd-24th October 2009.
One of the key areas which would go for a long way in mitigating the ill effects of road accidents and improving road safety is to have an appropriate institutional mechanism required for road safety.
